Save, save, save....

I know how to save money shopping online. I can find codes for this and that, stack them and get the most bang for buck.  But, actual shopping takes a little more work and organization.
Tonight I set out to Target with some coupons in hand.  Here is what I came home with for a grand total of $5.60!!! Not bad, huh?
Here is what I paid AFTER coupons
Chips Ahoy snack pack - $1.54
Kool Aid - $1.37
Kool Aid - $1.37
Ritz Crackers - $.79
Triscuits - $.29
Lorna Doone Snack Packs - $.04
Kraft BBQ - Free

Eleanor's Birthday Party

Eleanor Anne had her first ever friends party today! She had a great time. We had lots of neighborhood friends and lots of preschool friends.  She has been talking about today for a few months.  I am exhausted, but it was well worth the effort.
Here is the princess before everyone started to arrive.
Here are Lucy, Jake, Emily, Anna & Eleanor making their magic wands.
Penelope, the balloon lady/magician brought this for the birthday girl.
She also made Eleanor her favorite princess, Cinderella!
Cake time.  She had a tough time blowing out the candles and it took some help from friends to get the candles to go out.
All of the kids got to choose what balloon they got.  Most of the boys chose CRAZY hats, like this one that Blake got.
Here is Jimmy with his monkey.
And Josie with Snow White.
Eleanor and Norah during the magic show.
Eleanor was Penelope's assistant and got a special hat for the job.
David was asked to participate. He became a human rocket and had to run around the room.  It was quite the sight.
Jimmy was loving all the kids and took a liking to Maisy
I am tired and ready to head to bed.  All the effort was well worth it to see the look on her face when all of her friends were arriving to HER party!
I can't believe my baby is FIVE!!!

Sneak peak...so excited

We had a photo session on Tuesday with an amazing photographer, J. Selander.
She put a sneak peak up on her blog.
Go take a look and please leave a comment.

A great pair

Eleanor has been asking to 'model' again since last Saturday at the church brunch.  Who am I to disappoint???
I purchased these two tops from Gymboree today and knew I had the perfect fabrics to match! An hour later, two completed outfits!
She loves the outfits and I do too.
She is becoming quite the model, don't you think?

I pledge allegiance to the flag....

Eleanor & Norah led the pledge of allegiance at the Veteran's Honor Flight Dinner last night.  I was not able to make it, but hear they did a great job. All Eleanor kept telling me this morning was that she ate her roast beef AND some of Norahs!

Lucy Jane is THREE...

Lucy's big day started off with a fashion show at church with Eleanor and Sadie. The girls did a great job and had such a fun time. Before we left for church I was telling the girls to walk slowly and they could pose if they wanted to. Eleanor said, "You mean like you do in the dressing room when you are trying on clothes?" Um, sure!
Here is the birthday girl with all of her presents.
How old are you???

A cheerleader doll from Grandma Alice & Grandpa Jim that looks like Lucy!
A ice princess sleeping bag from Grandma Patti & Grandpa Doug.
Here Lucy is with her best friend, Kyle.  We had to light the candles three times because Kyle blew them out, then Lucy, then we were finally able to get Happy Birthday sung before Lucy and Kyle blew them out together!
Norah & Eleanor doing a princess fashion show.  She was REALLY into fashion shows after our morning at church.
Somewhere it went from princess dresses to cocktail waitresses??? These were some of my dance costumes from when I was younger!

Ring the bell and RUN!!!

I LOVED May Day when I was a little girl. I remember making those little dixie cups into 'baskets' and getting so nervous that people would catch me as I was leaving their goodies on their porch.  I could see Eleanor's excitement was similar to mine when I was younger. She was very nervous that if the boys caught her, they would kiss her.

Here are some of the May Day baskets before we left the house.
Here are the kiddos getting ready to leave.
And then a close-up of Lucy. I LOVE this picture.

We had a great time and Eleanor did not get kissed, whew!

Kindergarden Round up

Eleanor had Kindergarten round up last week and she LOVED every minute of being there. She goes back in two weeks for part two! She can't wait.
Don't worry...I will take more pictures next time.
