It was candy....now a $50,000 bear

It was only a few short months ago that Eleanor only needed a piece of candy, to model for me. These days, the bribes are much more $$$. Today it was the $50,000 Hannah Montana bear that she saw on a commercial. Something about Hannah Montana, Build-A-Bear, a computer and $50,000. Thank you Disney Channel for your wonderful marketing to my young children!!!

Here are some of my new customs that will go to etsy and eBay later this week. It was going to be an outdoor photo session, but the wind was blowing about 40 mph....so we brought the pictures inside!

Poor Jimmy has a double ear infection! He doesn't look like it in the first picture, but he does. He is very cuddly right now. I can't believe how big he is getting.

Halloween is just around the corner...

The girls have both decided to be Hannah Montana for Halloween. Eleanor, has wanted to for some time. Then when we were at Claires this week and the Hannah wigs were ONE for $20 or TWO for $10 (I obviously bought TWO) Lucy decided she wanted to be Hannah too. This is after lunch when the girls tried their wigs on. My mom and I were almost wetting our pants we were laughing so hard. Lucy resembles ET, when he puts the blond wig on in the movie. And Eleanor was flipping the hair around like it was real.
I have their outfits almost complete, but have NO CLUE what Mr. Jimmy should be. Any suggestions?

How we started & how we ended our day...

My kids are not perfect by any means. But, they really do love each other and love to be together. Maybe even too much!! Here is where you can find them every morning. After breakfast, after brushing teeth, after getting dressed and after curling hair, I ask Eleanor to go to the bathroom before we leave for school. Lucy and Jimmy follow closely behind her. Jimmy loves to help get the toilet paper and Lucy is the flusher. Eleanor does not seem to mind and actually welcomes the company.

I had promised the girls earlier in the week that we would do a GIRLS movie night. We invited Grandma Patti and the girls have been looking forward to this for the past few days. Eleanor chose Peter Pan and told us what was about to happen in every scene. Lucy, could have cared less about the movie and just kept telling Grandma, "Immy (Jimmy) ni night, no movie!". She also loved her Mike & Ikes and pop. Both girls were sound a sleep by 8:30! Here are some pictures from tonight.

Scott Family Christmas List - Item #1

Lucy, Jimmy and I went to Grandma Dede's house today, while Eleanor was at school. While we were there she gave me three ears of fresh sweet corn. Being an Iowa girl, you think I would love fresh corn. But, due to a basketball accident in high school with my front teeth...I am scared to bite into a piece of corn. Eleanor & Lucy, on the other hand, LOVE this stuff. Grandpa Doug makes it a lot in the summers and Ella calls it 'popcorn'.
When we picked Eleanor up from school and she saw the plastic garbage sack with three ears of corn she was in Heaven!
Grandma Dede told me exactly how to make the perfect microwave corn. Four minutes for two ears, rub them with butter and wrap in wax paper. The corn smelled wonderful and the girls were so excited. Then...
I realized we don't have corn holders. So we used the only thing I could think of to use. Forks!

So please if the Scotts are on your Christmas list...we could really use some corn on the cob holders!

Jimmy in pictures

Here is where I found Jimmy around 3pm today. Sitting next to the back door. Why, you ask? Because this is the door that opens, when Daddy is home from work. Jimmy was a few hours early, but anxiously awaiting his Big Buddy.
Jimmy has turned into quite the funny little man. He loves to clap and wave good-bye, both with unbelievable speed and enthusiasm. He still thinks Eleanor is hilarious and laughs at just about everything she does. He is a wonderful little man and we love him to pieces. Tonight was a lovely night and the kids played in the driveway for a bit, after naps. Here are some shots of Jimmy and his big pink ball.

What a big girl!

Eleanor Anne began preschool at Montessori today. She was very excited and had a great time. Her favorite part of the day was the Arthur/D.W. book. She goes five days a week. I was looking forward to a relaxing morning with only two children. But, Lucy misses Eleanor so much, that she talked me to me almost the entire morning!!!
Eleanor wrote her own sign and I plan on doing this every year with the kids. She loved writing her name, age and the year.
